Support programs for digitization
with Logan Five creations

How you can support your projects with digitization funding programs (as of February 2026)

Note: This overview does not replace funding advice and does not constitute legal information. Whether a project is eligible for funding depends on your company, the project design, and the current guidelines. We support you in structuring the project in a way that is logically sound in terms of funding (concept vs. implementation) and in providing the necessary project documentation.

Which projects are suitable?

Our range of services combines strategy, design, and technology—from brand development, website/inbound marketing, SEO/AEO/GEO, social media, and Google Ads campaigns to AI chatbots, 3D, configurators, AR/VR/MR/WebAR, and specialized web applications. Depending on your goals and program logic, we structure your project into eligible building blocks.

1) BAFA: Strategie- und Konzeptphase (Beratung)

  • Typically eligible are conceptual services (analysis, strategy, requirements, roadmap).
  • Brand positioning & communication strategy (target groups, messages, channel mix).
  • Website and content roadmap (information architecture, UX concept, content formats).
  • SEO/AEO/GEO strategy (visibility in search engines and answer systems).
  • Concept for AI chatbot/3D avatar as brand ambassador (e.g., ‘Logan Assistant’).
  • Concept for AR/XR storytelling or 3D product presentation (use cases, user journeys, prototype sketch).

Relevant (conceptual) examples:

Brand positioning & brand foundation: target group, value proposition, communication guidelines, messaging architecture (as a consulting project).

SEO/GEO/AEO strategy: visibility in search engines & AI response systems, topic/content roadmap, tracking concept, priority plan.

Digital roadmap & requirements catalog: Decision template “Portal/App/XR/Logan Assistant” including use cases, draft specifications, budget/rollout plan (consulting, implementation separate).

2) Digitalbonus Bayern: Digitalisierung & IT-Sicherheit (Implementierung)

Typically eligible are implementations that digitize products/processes or improve IT security (no standard solutions).

  • Individual customer portal or intranet with roles/rights (e.g., service, download area, status tracking).
  • Workflow app or web application for automation (e.g., inquiry and quotation processes, service tickets).
  • AI-powered knowledge assistant/chatbot for customer service or sales (including data connection).
  • Interface and data integration (ERP/CRM, product data, tracking dashboards).
  • IT security components (e.g., access concepts, application security, security checks in the project context).

Note: Standard websites/webshops and standard online marketing are excluded according to the guidelines. Examples of standard digital bonuses eligible for funding: Customer/service portal (web application) with login, ticket/support process, document exchange, status tracking – ideally with connection to CRM/ERP (data & process consistency).

  • B2B ordering/quotation platform (portal) including roles/rights, automated quotation/ordering workflows, interfaces to merchandise management/CRM.
  • Learning/training platform (internal or for customers/partners) including onboarding courses, knowledge database, progress logic – as a “platform solution” with process benefits. Examples eligible for Digital Bonus Plus # AI-supported self-service & support in the portal (e.g., Logan Assistant as an intelligent communication/service partner) to relieve sales/support and accelerate processes.
  • Data analysis/dashboard solution: Consolidation of CRM/shop/service data, AI-supported evaluations (e.g., demand, leads, service cases) to improve operational results.
  • 3D/XR “Digital Twin light”: 3D visualization/simulation logic for product/variant logic (e.g., configuration, plausibility checks, data comparison) – as modern “digital twins/simulation.”

3) Innovationsgutschein Bayern: Technologische Innovation (F&E / Prototyp)

Typically eligible are external development services, feasibility studies, and prototyping with technological innovation content.

  • Feasibility study/proof of concept for an AR/WebAR/XR application (e.g., visualization of products/processes).
  • Prototype of a 3D interaction system (avatar, real-time 3D, new user interaction).
  • Digital twin/simulation (3D visualization + data model as a technical pilot project).
  • Testing/validation (e.g., performance, usability in real-world scenarios, reducing technological risks).

Examples of Bavarian innovation vouchers: Feasibility study + prototype: AR/WebAR product configurator (e.g., new interaction logic, variant system, performance pipeline, device/browser optimization).

  • Prototype development “XR Sales/Service”: XR application (AR/VR/MR) for product presentation or service use cases, including technical design and testing.
  • Product testing/trials: Measurement/test series for quality assurance of WebAR/XR prototypes (stability, UX, loading times, device matrix) as an external R&D component.
  • “Digital twin”/simulation as a prototype: 3D model + data model + simulation/set of rules (e.g., configuration rules, technical plausibilities) as a technological innovation project.
  • AI interaction prototype (Logan Assistant): Further development/prototyping of an AI-supported 3D avatar (e.g., new dialogue logic/integration into knowledge sources/process triggers) as an innovation/technology project.

Five steps to success
(including digitization support programs)?

Many projects can be launched more cost-effectively—either through subsidized consulting (concept/strategy) or through grants for digitization or technological innovation. Below are three programs that are relevant and interesting for many of our customers.

1. Refine the project goal

What do you want to achieve (e.g., visibility, leads, reducing process costs, new digital services)? Which results are measurable?

2. Funding check & program selection

Check location (Bavaria/nationwide), company size, project type (consulting vs. implementation vs. innovation), and deadlines.

3. Cut the project cleanly

Structure service modules so that eligible parts are clearly defined (e.g., BAFA: consulting/concept; digital bonus: implementation; innovation voucher: R&D/prototype).

4. Submit your application – before you place an order

Important: Depending on the program, there may be a ban on starting projects. First apply or wait for confirmation, then sign contracts and start.

5. Implementation, evidence, payment

Carry out the project, collect invoices/proof of expenditure, submit proof of use, receive payment (usually in arrears).

Important for the start of the project

Many projects can be launched more cost-effectively—either through subsidized consulting (concept/strategy) or through grants for digitization or technological innovation. Below are three programs that are relevant and interesting for many of our customers.

Timing note: Project start & typical waiting times

Digital Bonus Bavaria (Standard/Plus)
After submitting your online application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by email. From this point on, you can start at your own risk and also conclude contracts—you do not have to wait for the funding decision.
In practice, this means that the project can usually start immediately, with the actual approval process running in parallel (processing time depends on the district government/scope of documentation).

BAFA “Funding for management consulting services for SMEs”
You may only begin consulting services once you have received the non-binding information letter – important: the consulting contract itself is considered the start date.
Typically, the delay is short because, according to the control center, the information letter usually arrives by email within 24 hours or on the next business day.

Bavaria Innovation Voucher (Standard/Special)
This is where planning is most “strict”: the project starts when the research and development service provider (Logan Five GmbH) is commissioned – and this should only take place after the grant notification has been issued. An earlier start is only possible with approved early commencement of measures (at your own financial risk).
Bayern Innovativ estimates a processing time of approx. 4–6 weeks (standard) or approx. 3 months (special). Accordingly, the project start date may be postponed by this period.
