Interactive beer mats!
Entertaining the world with simple means.
As fans, we created this application for the Weyermann company in Bamberg years ago. It is more than interesting for all breweries: no matter how many types of beverages you have in your portfolio, place them virtually on the beer mat. You can be sure that this form of advertising will not stay in place for long.
A stack of beer coasters really doesn’t cost much. But the visibility is immense. As a brewer, beer brewer, and beverage manufacturer, distributing beer coasters is an absolute thrill for customers.
And then view and explore the world of beer with this augmented reality beer mat, without needing an app.
You can view each of the beers virtually on the beer mat. You can learn more about the beer, be entertained with funny sayings, and even become more familiar with the dialect of the region of origin. Fun for guests and beer connoisseurs alike.
The interactive beer mat is a real miracle cure. You know yourself how often and how effective such a mat can be. Millions see it at the table and many people take the idea home with them. As a brewery, you could create this for your sales department. But even as a restaurant or bar, it is always cost-effective to use:
With our partners, we can offer affordable printed products, such as this interactive beer mat.
After loading the web application in your browser using the QR code, the first 3D model appears directly on the beer mat.
You can now select the individual varieties and hear a funny saying by clicking on the bottle.
The next tab shows all the details and parameters that make up the beer. This makes it quick and easy to decide on your next drink based on your own taste preferences.
A rating and order complete the application. The rating is intended only for the respective user and is solely their assessment.
The order is placed as an audio file in the typical Franconian dialect.
In the “Variety Menu,” you can list your beverages (products) and place them virtually on the beer mat. It doesn’t matter what shape the bottles are. All products can be displayed realistically on a 1:1 scale. This puts your entire range in the right light, highlighting all your new products. Animations around this bottle are just as conceivable as transparent videos or videos on curved surfaces. Think!
A brief description gives interested parties a rough idea of what to expect. Key figures provide a quick visual overview of the variety’s classification. Multilingualism also attracts the interest of international customers. The drink is explained quickly and easily, making people want to try it. We at the Logan Five agency had a lot of fun with the model. Your customers will too.
Interact with the product and listen to funny sayings. Entertain your guests. Orders can be played back in the local dialect. This allows users to place orders in their own dialect. Guests’ own ratings of the beer help them choose their next drink and quickly show the tool operator which beers are customer favorites in a manner that complies with data protection regulations.
As part of an internal project, an interactive beer mat was developed that uses WebAR (augmented reality in the browser) to bring digital content to life. The aim is to present products in a way that is not promotional, but rather experience-oriented, informative, and measurable. The idea arose from discussions about beer tastings and the question of how product information, storytelling, and interaction can be combined in a contemporary and accessible way.
A WebAR proof-of-concept was implemented as a demonstrator, which currently integrates four types of beer. The structure is modular and can be expanded as desired.
Functions in the proof of concept:
The application has a separate statistics area that complies with data protection regulations:
The WebAR application is designed as a scalable experience platform. It can be expanded both in terms of content (additional products, languages, functions) and technology. The proof of concept shown serves as a starting point and demonstrator for interactive product presentation with WebAR. In the future, it may also be used as a reference or example application. The scope and visibility of a brand can be customized individually.
