Important questions for people who want to communicate:

We appreciate your interest! First, the most frequently asked questions. If you would like to contact us directly, you can do so using the form. You can also call us at +49 9562 40010.

Our customers visit us to create applications, web applications, or marketing tools for augmented reality. Augmented reality (AR) enhances our real world with digital content such as 3D objects, animations, text, or videos. Virtual elements are seamlessly integrated into the environment via smartphone, tablet, or AR glasses. AR combines information with experience—interactively, contextually, and in real time. Ideal for marketing, industry, and education. This is truly fascinating and inspires young and old alike.

Augmented reality (AR) supplements the real world with digital content—such as text, images, or 3D objects—that can be viewed via a display (smartphone, tablet, AR glasses). The real environment remains unchanged in the foreground, with digital elements “superimposed” without any real interaction with the environment. Mixed reality (MR) goes one step further: digital content is not only displayed, but spatially anchored and interacts dynamically with the real world. The virtual and real environments merge. This requires special hardware such as Microsoft HoloLens, which recognizes environmental data and places objects in it logically.

In short:

  • AR: Reality + superimposed content

  • MR: Reality + superimposed content that reacts and blends in with the environment

The virtual world (VR, virtual reality) is a computer-generated environment that users can enter via screens, virtual reality glasses, or other devices. It allows users to interactively immerse themselves in artificially created spaces—whether for learning, entertainment, work, or training purposes. In this world, digital laws of space, movement, and interaction apply. It can be realistic or imaginative and opens up limitless possibilities beyond physical limitations.

XR stands for “extended reality” and combines various immersive technologies: virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). It involves the interaction between the real and digital worlds—from completely virtual environments to the overlaying of real spaces with digital content. XR enables new forms of interaction, communication, and visualization. Whether in industry, medicine, education, or marketing, XR creates enhanced experiences that engage users emotionally and make complex content tangible. In short, XR is the technological bridge between reality and virtuality—versatile, forward-looking, and a key to digital transformation.

WebAR (web-based augmented reality) is a form of augmented reality that can be accessed directly via a web browser—no app installation required. All users need is a smartphone or tablet with a camera and internet access. The AR application launches immediately when a QR code is scanned or a link is opened.

Difference from traditional forms of AR:
While conventional AR applications often require special apps or platforms, WebAR focuses on maximum accessibility. This makes it particularly user-friendly, quick to distribute, and ideal for trade fairs, outdoor advertising, events, and the point of sale.

Accessibility in the digital sense:
WebAR is “accessible” because there are no technical barriers: no downloads, no memory consumption, no setup. This simplicity significantly lowers the barrier to entry—for all target groups. Even older or technically inexperienced people can immediately immerse themselves in immersive experiences via scan.

Conclusion:
WebAR is the easily accessible, immediately usable link in the world of XR (extended reality) technologies—connecting brands, products, and people in an accessible, impressive way. It makes extended reality suitable for everyday use and scalable.

Of course, there is a nuanced answer to this question, because we differentiate between accessible WebAR, which starts at around €1,000 net, and applications in the areas of AR, VR, and MR, which start at around €5,000 net. In order to offer a reliable price, every provider should also prepare a written quote.

Questions about XR technology!

Accessible WebAR – experience it right away, no app needed. WebAR works directly in the browser—no installation required. Ideal for events in exhibition halls or at sporting events: a QR code or other target is all it takes to activate the smartphone or tablet and guide users into interactive worlds—whether gamification or web-based content. Logan Five used this experience in 2024 at a soccer match between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen on large screens – with an outstanding response. Here you will find WebAR experiences.

The Bizerba app from Logan Five makes it possible to present an impressive variety of machines in a very small space—even those that would not physically fit on the exhibition stand. Thanks to smart WebAR technology, all models can be visualized digitally and true to scale, including their functions, variants, and features. Visitors can interactively navigate through the machine portfolio, explore details, and even experience motion sequences—directly on their own smartphone or tablet. This not only saves transport and logistics costs, but also significantly enhances the quality of the experience and brand perception. The app turns every trade fair booth into a digital showcase with maximum information density. Here is an example.

With accessible WebAR, you can get started at entry-level prices of around $1,000—for simple applications such as sound, video, or image content. More comprehensive solutions offer extensive digital added value that often pays for itself in a short period of time. However, the specific cost of larger applications varies and should be specified by the contractor as part of a project quote.

Logan Five GmbH brings together experienced developers, designers, and programmers who have been working with passion and innovative strength for 25 years. With an unwavering interest in modern media, the agency has made a name for itself in Coburg and the entire region. As specialists in extended reality (XR) – from augmented reality to virtual reality to mixed reality – Logan Five combines digital technologies of the future with classic marketing. This results in solutions that enrich traditional media with the information structures of tomorrow and lead customers into the future today. Logan Five GmbH is of interest to companies of all sizes – not only in Upper Franconia.

XR is also known as extended reality and encompasses several disciplines:

  • Augmented Reality
  • Virtual Reality
  • Mixed Reality
  • WebAR (accessible augmented reality)

Imagine being able to experience augmented reality directly in your mobile browser—without downloading an app. Simply scan a QR code and immediately immerse yourself in interactive content such as 3D models, animations, or AR effects.

Logan Five is an augmented reality agency that manages projects from the initial idea to the exact implementation. Along the way, customized programming is created to ensure that the challenge’s goal is met 100%. A professional augmented reality agency therefore not only delivers technical implementation, but also strategic concepts, UX design, 3D content, performance optimization, and long-term scalability. While simple AR tools are usually based on templates, an agency develops customized concepts and solutions that are precisely tailored to the target group, industry, and corporate goals.

Accessibility in terms of functionality is the focus here: WebAR works directly in the browser and does not require any app installation. This lowers barriers to entry and significantly increases reach and interaction rates. Modern companies use WebAR to make augmented reality accessible, data-efficient, and immediately experienceable—for example, at trade shows, on packaging, on websites, or in sales. We learn:

  • WebAR for the masses (example)
  • APP applications for distribution and sales/training applications (example)

Let people experience products before they buy them

AR transforms the smartphone into a tasting and decision-making machine:

  • Virtual try-on (glasses, jewelry, cosmetics, sneakers, headwear) via face tracking.
  • “Place in the room” (furniture, lamps, decorations, household appliances) in original size.
  • Change variants live (Logan Five configurators): colors, materials, sizes—without inventory stress.
Effect: less uncertainty, higher willingness to buy, fewer returns.

More story per shelf: Packaging, posters, and POS become interactive

  • With WebAR (without an app), all you need is a QR code:
  • Packaging/label opens 3D animations, assembly/care instructions, ingredient origin, sustainability certificates.
  • Displays/shop windows become mini experiences (the product “jumps” out of the poster).
  • Actions can be activated in a playful way (e.g., “Scan & collect points/coupon”).
Effect: Attention at the POS, longer dwell time, better brand loyalty.

Take the pressure off consulting – without coming across as cold

  • AR does not replace staff, but it does eliminate “standard questions”:
  • AR tutorials (setup, operation, size advice, care).
  • Guided selling: “Which size fits?”, “Which accessories do you need?” Visually guided.
  • Optionally combined with a source-based website bot that responds from your knowledge base.
Effect: faster access to the right product, fewer abandonments, staff gain time for genuine consultation.

Omnichannel: Connecting online and brick-and-mortar stores

  • AR is the glue between digital and brick-and-mortar:
  • Online product page → AR button (“View at home”).
  • Store → QR code on the shelf → same experience, plus availability and variant information.
  • Click & Collect is enhanced: AR displays accessories, bundles, and alternatives.
Effect: consistent customer journey, higher conversion across channels.

Charge events, campaigns, and loyalty programs with “wow” factor

  • AR is highly effective for attracting attention and encouraging repeat visits:
  • AR scavenger hunt in the store or downtown (in cooperation with neighboring stores).
  • Limited AR Drops (collectibles, discount codes, contests).
  • Seasonal: Christmas/Easter/sales as an AR experience that can be shared.
Effect: Virality, frequency, “I was there” moment.

Using data – without data protection pitfalls

  • In Germany, trust is what counts.
  • WebAR can be implemented in such a way that as little personal data as possible is collected.
  • Tracking focuses on event data: scans, dwell time, click paths, conversion—anonymized/aggregated.
Effect: measurable campaigns without damaging the brand.

AR that sells: “Try before you buy” directly in your browser

WebAR without an app – one click, and the product is displayed in the customer’s room or can be tested on their face/body. Applications: Furniture & Home, Fashion/Eyewear/Jewelry/Cosmetics, Sports/Outdoor, Technology. Goal: Accelerate purchasing decisions, reduce uncertainty, reduce returns.

3D product pages that are truly understood

We turn product images into interactive 3D views with:

  • Material/color change
  • Detail zoom (mechanics, surfaces, workmanship)
  • Size comparison/scaling
  • Exploded view for products requiring explanation

Goal: fewer queries, more trust, higher conversion rates.

AR-Configurator light

  • Not everyone needs a mega configurator right away—often, a lean AR configurator is sufficient:
  • Variant selection (color, set, accessories)
  • Bundle suggestions (“goes well with”)
  • Check directly in AR live

Goal: higher shopping cart value and fewer impulse purchases.

AR on packaging & print: Performance campaigns with measurable ROI

  • QR on package inserts, catalogs, POS material:
  • Instructions & Setup in AR
  • Product story/Manufacturing/Sustainability
  • Instant coupons, sweepstakes, loyalty hooks

Goal: Repeat purchases, newsletter signups, reviews, UGC.

AR support that saves costs

  • AR can provide significant relief after purchase:
  • Assembly/operating instructions as AR guides
  • Care instructions, spare parts, troubleshooting
  • Optional: Transfer to human support

Goal: fewer tickets, better ratings, lower service costs.

Multilingual & GDPR-compliant – implemented in a manner suitable for Germany

  • We design solutions in such a way that:
  • Hosting/data economy is clearly regulated
  • Tracking remains possible in aggregated/anonymized form
  • Consent logic fits the website

Goal: Innovation without loss of trust.

This is how we proceed: start quickly, scale cleanly

  1. Pilot in 2–4 weeks with a clear use case (1 product group, 1 AR feature).
    Measured variables:
  2. AR usage (clicks/scans, dwell time)
  3. Add to Cart / Conversion Lift
  4. Return rate (for relevant categories)
  5. Support tickets (for AR guides)
  6. Three “starter packs” (so it doesn’t get expensive)
  7. AR viewer for top sellers (3–10 products): 3D + “Place in room”
  8. Virtual Try-On (1 category): Face filters/fitting + shop deep links
  9. AR unboxing: Package insert QR code → AR guide + coupon + review flow

For sales in Germany, “ideal AR apps” are less about a single app and more about three useful categories, depending on whether you mean e-commerce (customers), field service (sales team), or B2B demo/service. Here is the shortlist that has proven itself in practice:

E-commerce AR without app download (ideal for conversion)

This is usually the best approach in Germany because customers do not need to install anything.

  • Arriba by Logan Five
Standardized presentation, simple and easy to understand
  • Apple AR Quick Look (iOS/iPadOS)
Standard way to place USDZ models directly from Safari in AR (perfect for product pages).
  • Google Scene Viewer (Android)
Google’s AR viewer for web and apps; can be launched from the browser and is widely used in the Android environment.
  • (Web component)
Brings 3D to the product page and can trigger Quick Look / Scene Viewer depending on the device (useful if you want to standardize WebAR).

Why “ideal”?
Maximum reach (iOS + Android), low friction, can be integrated directly into your shop/website.

AR for sales teams (field service, trade shows, B2B demos)

When sales representatives sell using iPads/phones and the products are large, expensive, or require explanation:

  • Logan Five’s Arriba System
Reliable, lightweight, and fast, immediately understandable even by customers
  • JigSpace (AR presentations / 3D demos without coding)
Focus: interactive 3D/AR sales presentations, “close deals faster.”
  • Augment (3D/AR product visualization for sales pitches)
Explicitly positioned for sales: place the product true to scale at the customer’s premises.
  • Why “ideal”?
Quick to deploy, great for products that require explanation, replaces physical samples/mockups.

AR for “Sales + After-Sales” in B2B (Remote Assist / Frontline)

When sales is closely linked to service/technology (mechanical engineering, logistics, industry):

  • Arriba by Logan Five
WebAR, accessible, easy to load, quick to understand
  • TeamViewer Frontline
AR-supported instructions/processes for frontline teams – relevant when sales sells “solutions” plus operation/service.

Important note: Some well-known MR products are being discontinued. Example: Dynamics 365 Guides/Remote Assist will reach end of support on December 31, 2026 – this should be taken into account when tooling for new rollouts. Vuforia Chalk also has an end-of-service date (PTC recommends migration).

Yes – and if you, as a German retailer, want to implement this in a clean (GDPR-compliant), app-free, and measurable way, that’s exactly where WebAR comes into its own.

How we develop AR experiences for retail

WebAR instead of an app: one QR code, done

Customers scan the shelf, poster, receipt, or packaging—and experience AR directly in their browser. No download, no hurdles, maximum reach.

Experiences that really work in retail

Use cases that drive revenue/interaction:

  • Place product in the room (decoration, furniture, technology, sporting goods)
  • Virtual try-on (glasses, jewelry, cosmetics, accessories)
  • Interactive product information (ingredients, origin, care, assembly, size guide)
  • Scan & Win / Coupons / Loyalty (Gamification without the funfair)
  • Shop window AR (after closing time: QR → Experience → Store Finder)

Campaign + operation: not just “an effect,” but a system

We deliver:

  • Concept + Design + 3D/Animation + Implementation
  • Hosting/Deploy + QR assets + Installation instructions for the team
  • Tracking & reporting (scans, interaction, drop-offs) – data-efficient

Suitable for Germany: Data protection & brand trust

  • Data minimization as standard
  • Clear consent/notification logic (if necessary)
  • Clear responsibilities (SLA/TOMs, hosting setup as needed)

The fastest way to get started: 2–4 week pilot

  • A pilot typically consists of:
  • 1 location or 1 product group
  • 1 AR function (e.g., “Scan → 3D + Coupon”)
  • Clear KPIs: scan rate, dwell time, coupon redemption, store traffic

What we need from you (minimum)

  • Which industry/product range (fashion, furniture, food, DIY, electronics, etc.)
  • Where should AR be used: shelves, shop windows, flyers, packaging, receipts
  • Goal: Frequency, conversion, reducing the burden on consulting, loyalty

Effective AR strategies for German online shops

Start with high-impact products

AR is most worthwhile where customers are uncertain:

  • Home & Living (furniture, lamps, carpets): “Place in the room”
  • Fashion/Accessories (eyewear, jewelry, cosmetics): Virtual Try-On
  • Requires explanation (technology, DIY): 3D + exploded view + step-by-step guides
Rule of thumb: Top sellers + high returns + high shopping cart value = perfect AR candidates.

WebAR instead of apps – because it causes less friction in Germany

  • Use AR directly in your browser (no app, no account required).
  • On the product page: “View in AR” next to images/variants

Optional: QR code on print/insert → open the exact product AR
Goal: Increase usage, decrease drop-off.

AR not as a gimmick, but as a decision-making aid

AR features that sell:

  • Scale & fit (actual size, spatial distances, “fits through the door?”)
  • Live variants (color/material/accessories in the room)
  • Bundling (display “goes well with” in AR)
  • Replace contextual images: “This is how it works for you” instead of generic lifestyle shots

Integrate correctly: AR is part of the PDP, not an extra

On the product detail page (PDP), AR should:

  • be visible above the fold (button/badge)
  • explained with Quick Copy (“1 click, place in room”)
  • Apply variant selection (AR follows color/size)

Measurability & KPIs (important for budget approval)

Clean tracking (GDPR-compliant, data-efficient):

  • AR button click rate
  • AR session rate (start/cancel)
  • Dwell time/interaction
  • Add-to-cart & conversion uplift among AR users
  • Return rate after introduction (specific to product group)

Reduce returns: Combine AR with clear product information

AR alone reduces returns most effectively when combined with:

  • clear measurements/scaling
  • Material/surface information
  • “What fits with what” (compatibility, accessories)
  • Assembly/care instructions (as a micro guide)

Build a content pipeline (so AR doesn’t become prohibitively expensive)

Costs remain low when you standardize:

  • 3D Model Guidelines (Polycount, Textures, Formats)
  • Reusable templates (viewer, UI, CTA, tracking)
  • Prioritization: 10 products live > 200 in planning

The Germany factor: considering trust and data protection

  • Track data sparingly (aggregated, no unnecessary IDs)
  • Clear indications when camera is in use (try-on)
  • Communicate AR as a service (“make better decisions, fewer bad buys”), not as a gimmick
  • Recommended roadmap (short)

Weeks 1–2: 5–10 top products + AR viewer on PDP + tracking
Weeks 3–4: Variants/bundle logic + UX optimization + initial KPI evaluation
Month 2: Rollout to next product group + measure returns/support effects

You’ll be surprised: with WebAR and license sharing concepts, you can get started for less than €1,000—and without much effort. In any case, amazing initial results can be achieved for less than €2,000 net.

An augmented reality agency conceives, designs, and develops digital content that enhances real environments with virtual elements in real time. This includes WebAR applications, AR apps, 3D visualizations, interactive product presentations, and immersive marketing experiences. The goal is to convey information in a more understandable way, make products more tangible, and convey brands more emotionally—without media discontinuity.

An augmented reality agency is particularly useful for industry, mechanical engineering, architecture, retail, marketing, education, automotive, and event communication. Augmented reality offers measurable advantages wherever complex products, processes, or spaces need to be explained, visualized, or made emotionally tangible.

With our VR solutions for trade shows, training, real estate, and industry, we make exactly that possible.

The sources are “Wir machen Druck” and Logan Five GmbH. In a very elaborate direct mailing campaign, the topic of augmented reality was refined into a Christmas story. A Christmas present was given to the recipient via a QR code. Through monitoring and activities, we jointly achieved an opening rate of over 38% in total.

Questions about 3D!

Logan Five’s 3D photo studio is a state-of-the-art solution for creating detailed, photorealistic 3D models. Whether it’s a product, machine, or object, precise camera technology, uniform lighting, and special post-processing create a digital twin of impressive quality. These 3D models can be used for WebAR, configurators, virtual trade shows, or marketing campaigns. Thanks to their optimized data structure, they are also suitable for mobile applications. The studio enables a seamless transition from real to digital – efficient, scalable, and brand-strong. Ideal for companies that want to make products immersive – regardless of location, time, or logistics. Digital advantage begins in the 3D photo studio. Here you will find the 3D photo studio as a sample.

Retopology is a process in 3D modeling in which an existing, often very complex 3D model with many polygons (e.g., from 3D scans or sculpting) is converted into a new, topologically optimized model with fewer but efficiently arranged polygons.

The goal is to simplify the geometry so that the model is easy to animate, loads quickly and is suitable for real-time applications (e.g., WebAR, VR, or games) – without any visible loss of quality. The original shape is retained, but the structure of the mesh is “redrawn” in a technically meaningful way. Retopologization is particularly important for clean UV layouts, better texturing, and performance-friendly applications.
